Halstead Secretarial Services was founded by Claire Halstead in 2007 after taking a short career break to start a family. She started the company after numerous people were approaching her to provide what she does best - secretarial support, administration and help with personal projects.

Claire then identified that there was a market in the local area that really needed help! Some people are unable to use a computer and need assistance with assignments, letters and email. Others just don't have the time and need a helping hand. Sole traders and small businesses struggle to find the time to deal with their administration but cannot afford to employ someone. Claire wanted to provide a solution!

Claire has 15 years experience of working in an administrative and customer service environment which has given her a wealth of experience and knowledge. Her past roles have included:-
  • Restaurant Manager.
  • Customer Liaison Officer/Administrator for an agricultural company.
  • From Team Leader to Training Manager at a local based Insurance company.
  • Team administrator and Forum Leader for Local Government.
Since starting Halstead Secretarial Claire has worked for different clients in fields as diverse as agriculture to video production! This has given her a unique insight into the requirements of small businesses and traders, and the demands that are placed on them. She has felt a great sense of reward in helping people - thus our company motto - Here to help!
